High Warlord Naj'entus

Solarian

High Warlord Naj’entus is a fairly simple encounter, his primary gimmick ability being solved in a rather easy fashion and in general being a push-over for Black Temple worthy guilds, the only thing required is at least 8500+ HP on all players.

Abilities

3,600,000 HP

Melee – 3,500 – 4,000 on plate

Needle Spine – Fires a needle spine at 3 targets, dealing 2890 – 3910 physical damage as well as an additional 2280 – 2520 frost damage to everyone within 6 yards of the targets.

Impaling Spine – Launches a massive spine at the target, impaling them, deals 4513 – 4987 physical damage and stuns the target.  While impaled the target is immobilized and will take 2750 bleed damage every second, this cannot be removed via invulnerability, etc.

To remove the spine, have a player walk up to the target of the attack and right click the spine, looting it into their inventory for usage against the bosses shield.

Tidal Shield – This ability should be used on average every 60 seconds, makes the boss immune to all attack and regenerates his health by 1% every 2 seconds, reduced by wound poison/mortal strike.

The method of destroying the shield is to throw the spine retrieved earlier, much like a snowball item in usage, and thus burst the shield upon impact.  The bursting of the shield deals 8500 frost damage to all players, however it is resistable.

Fight

The boss will be positioned in the center of the room, allowing all ranged players to spread out at least 6 yards from one another and thusly avoid spreading about the Needle Spine damage.  Melee DPS should group up into two packs on either side of the boss.

Although the usage of Needle Spines will begin immediately on pull, it’ll be until both the 20 and 40 second marks that the boss uses the Impaling spine, giving you an opportunity to pick them up prior to Tidal Shield.

60 seconds into the fight the boss will proceed to use his Tidal Shield ability, throughout this ability he’ll cease to utilize anything beyond his basic melee attacks.  First wait until everyone is at least above 8,500 HP, then have a player use the spine, shattering the
Tidal shield and inflicting the 8,500 frost damage on the raid.

After the tidal shield has been broken you’ll gain a breather period of about 10 seconds before the boss, begins utilizing Needle Spines again, then 20/40 seconds before each Impaling Spine, and finally another 60 until Tidal Shield.

This process will repeat from 100% – 0%.
