Shade of Akama

Solarian

Shade of Akama is something like the ‘dark side’ to Akama’s soul, binding him into the service of Illidan and other such nasty bad things, it also drops epics and such so have at it.

Abilities

1,000,000 HP

Nothing else of note besides a relatively high damage level, however he won’t be hitting you anyway.

Ashtongue Channeler

100,000 HP

These channelers number 6 in total, keeping the shade of Akama banished and ignoring all aggro/attacks until dead.

Ashtongue Sorcerer

100,000 HP

The ashtongue sorcerer’s will replace the fallen ashtongue channeler’s around the Shade of Akama.

Ashtongue Defender

79,000 HP

Melee – 2,000 – 4,000 on plate

Debilitating Strike – Melee attack that deals 100% weapon damage as well as applying a debuff for 5 seconds, reducing melee damage dealt by the target by 75%.

Ashtongue Rogue

28,000 HP

Melee – 2,000 – 4,000 on plate

Debilitating Poison – Poison application that increases time between the targets attacks and spellcasting by 50% as well as dealing 1665 – 1935 nature damage every 2 seconds, dispellable.

Ashtongue Elementalist

23,000 HP

Melee – 2,000

Rain of Fire – Just like the warlock ability, deals 2,500 – 3,800 damage per tick.

Ashtongue Spiritbinder

23,000 HP

Melee – 2,000

Spirit Mend – Heals another Ashtongue for 2500 every 2 seconds for a total of 10 seconds, purge this.

Chain Heal – A chain healing spell that targets up to 5 allies for 6938 – 8062 health.

Phase 1

To begin, you’ll want to form three teams, groups, of players, the first one for the channelers and the other two to work on the various groups of incoming adds throughout the opening stages of the fight.

Team 1 will be the channeler team, consisting of some melee DPS as well as a caster or two.  Teams 2 & 3 will be on adds, holding the rest of your DPS as well as a couple tanks each and the healers, each will be positioned at either doorway.

The fight will be initiated by chatting with Akama, giving you some time to set up positions as Akama slowly walks through the room giving off his speech and such.

Once the fight has truly begin you’ll have a few seconds before the first waves of mobs spawn and begin to attack, at this point your Channeler team can begin to drop the mobs one by one as the add teams take on those entering through the doorways.

A single group of mobs will consist of 1 Ashtongue rogue, 1 Ashtongue elementalist, and 1 Ashtongue Spiritbinder, spawning every 35 seconds at either doorway.  The Ashtongue defenders however will spawn every 15 seconds from either doorway at random, running straight for Akama.

If all goes well you’ll kill off all the channelers and replacement Sorcerers within about 3 – 4 minutes of fighting, at this point the Shade of Akama will break free and engage Akama in combat.

Phase 2

Phase 2 is a relatively simple DPS phase, as the Shade of Akama will not change targets you’ll simply have to DPS him down before he kills Akama in about a minute or so of fighting, to make things easier Akama applies a debuff increasing all damage taken on the Shade by 5%, a poison that stacks overtime.

In the end you’ll have a minute maximum to kill off the Shade, blasting all cooldowns as needed, before Akama dies and you fail.
