Nefarian

The final battle in BWL and one of the trickiest.

To start the battle have someone go up and talk to Nefarian he will talk for a while and then say "Let the games begin." Nefarian will then put on what looks like a shadow form and become immune to damage.

He will randomly shadowbolt people for quite a bit of damage sometimes doing 3-5 Shadowbolts in a row on one target.

Nefarian will also Mind Control people and have them attack raid members randomly.

His last ability in this form is a shadowbolt volley which hits multiple people with shadowbolts.

This is Phase 1 - During this Phase a bunch of Drakonid's will start streaming out of the 2 doors which need to be killed. They will keep coming until a certain amount have died and then Phase 2 will start.

Phase 1 will also have Chromatic Drakonid's spawning which are larger and stronger then normal Drakonids which need to be tanked by a warrior and killed fast.

Each Drakonid will have a color which you can easily tell by looking at them.

The Drakonid powers are as follows:

All these abilities are in a cone infront of the drakonid.

Brood Power: Black - Fire Damage - Deals 1250 damage.

Brood Power: Bronze - Arcane - Deals 900 Damage also slows attack speed by 25% and casting speed by 50% for 6 seconds. This can be dispelled.

Brood Power: Green - Nature - Applies a debuff which stuns those hit with it for 1 second. This is Dispellable.

Brood Power: Blue - Frost - Deals 750 damage and burns 1000 mana causing damage as well. Also reduces attack speed by 50% for 6 seconds and can be dispelled.

Brood Power: Red - Fire - Applies a debuff which deals 300 damage per second for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times and is un-dispellable.

Phase 2 - This phase starts when enough Drakonid's are killed. Nefaraian transforms into his true form and begin's to fight you.

Have your raid members form up as shown in the picture.

Nefarian has several special attacks -

Shadowflame: Same as the 3 drakes.

At the start of Phase 2 Nefarian hits everyone in the room with a weakened Shadowflame attack.

Bellowing Roar - AoE fear with a range of 35 yards. He uses this every 20-30 seconds.

Tail Swipe - Hits those near his tail.

Veil of Shadow - Applies a debuff to the target which reduces healing effects by 75% for 10 seconds.

Nefarian has several different "calls" for each class. This has different effects depending on the class:

Warrior Call: Stuck in Berserker Stance
Warlock Call: Summon corrupted infernals to aid Nefarian
Mage Call: Cast polymorph on random raid members
Rogue Call: Teleported and rooted infront of Nefarian
Shaman Call: Give Nefarian buffed totems
Priest Call: Direct heals will now DoT the priests target
Hunter Call: The equiped ranged weapon will instantly break
Druid Call: All druids stuck in cat form for the duration
Paladin Call: Cast blessing of protection on Nefarian

When hit with a rogue call have your MT move as shown in the picture to prevent the rogues from dieing.

Phase 3 - When Nefarian hits 20% he will ressurect all the Drakonid's killed in Phase 1 as Risen Constructs. They aren't very powerful but can be a problem. Otherwise this is the same as Phase 2.

Make sure you have enough gold for your repairs and consumables.
