If you’ve been disappointed with your raid damage recently follow these eight simple steps to pump your warrior up!

1. Learn the proper rotation! Check our Arms warrior guide.

Undead Arms Warrior2. Your weapon is what will make the largest difference in your DPS. So if you are too low ilvl (item level) to queue for LFR or just unlucky with weapon drops, then PvP till you can get an honor point weapon (ilvl 498). If you have better than 498 weapon then just keep doing LFR/Flex raids and skip to the next step.

3. LFR/Timeless Isle/PvP for gear. Try to get most of your gear from LFR and timeless items and only use honor for left over parts. Make sure to kill a celestial on timeless isle each week for a chance at some nice ilvl 553 gear.

4. Reforge all your gear to Str>Expertise & Hit both to 7.5%>Crit>Haste>Mastery.
You can find the item reforgers by asking a guard in any of the major cities.

5. Get proper gems for your equipment and try to get the color bonuses. Check out our warrior gem recommendations.

6.  Get glyphs for your favorite abilities. Glyph of Unending Rage is required for the +20 to maximum rage!

7. Make sure to use strength flasks during raids for an extra 1000 strength.

8. Get a profession that can create items that help dps, like Engineering trinkets or Blacksmithing gem sockets.

If you’re thinking about leveling up a new class then check out our leveling guide review for info about the fastest way to get all your alts to 90. I even got to 90 in under 48 hours.

If you follow my eight-step plan to success then you should find an increase in your damage and jealous dps meter-watchers.

I would like to share one of my favorite PvP videos from vanilla WoW. It’s a rank 14 (Grand Marshal) warrior doing lots of world pvp, often in 1v3 or 1v4 situations. Some of the death metal music can get a bit tiring, but It’s still one of my favorite PvP videos of all time. It’s great to see back when a 1k crit was really great, compared to now with 400k crits.

Like most people, you’re probably hanging out on the Timeless Isle a lot since the 5.4 patch and it can be very confusing at first with so many rares spawning all over the island and no clue where they are. There is also the new Timeless armor tokens like Timeless Plate Chestpiece that can be found as drops from monsters as well as from chests hidden all over the island. Here are a few of the addons that you may see many people using to keep track of rare spawns and times, as well as a few of my favorites for locating bosses and all the hidden chests.

HandyNotes – This is the main addon to add notes to the map. It’s required for all the other “notes” addons to work.

HandyNotes_TimelessIsleChests – This will show you the locations and types of hidden chests all over the island. For some harder to reach chests it will tell you how to get them.

HandyNotes_TimelessIsle_RareElites – This addon will show the main spawn points for all rare bosses on the island. They are marked on your main map as skulls.

Rare Spawn Overlay – This is pretty much the same as the one above, but it has the names written out on the map and spawn locations highlighted with colors. It’s like npcscan overlay if you’ve ever used that.

RareAnnouncer – This one is very good for knowing when to go to a rare boss spawn location to kill them. Most of the time the bosses will die so fast that unless you were there when it spawned you will have to chance to get a hit in and get some loot. This addon will put a timer on your screen that will let you know how much time has passed since the last time the boss was killed. Most of the bosses spawn around every 45 mins so this will give you a good idea of when you should start heading to the boss spawn point.WoWScrnShot_093013_172508
_NPCScan – This addon will makes a noise and flash the edges of the screen when a rare is nearby you. It will also let you target the rare and market with a triangle so you can find it easily.

Here’s an interesting video with some info about new character models and when they could be coming to WoW, item squish, and a few other WoW related things. . It seems like the Dwarf will be the first new model…. >_> why dwarf???
In my opinion they should have started with humans or orcs. Also, why are they so slow?

They are only 25% done now… Seriously, with they amount of money they make from subs you’d think they could get one or two guys to just work on the new models. What do you guys think about the character models?

Well here’s the video:

She also gives a few tips for starting out in PvP if you don’t know what to do.

Here’s a quote from the game’s lead designer, Tom Chiton, in a recent interview.

“For Blizzard it makes sense [to go free-to-play] at some point. But a lot of the risk is in making that transition. You hear stories about developers going free-to-play and getting double the number of players, but you don’t always know it works out that way and how long it stays that way. We really don’t know what the rate is before people drop off and lose interest.”

I’m not sure if WoW could possibly be as good anymore if it went F2P. I think it would make me and many others lose quite a bit of interest in the game. Luckily this seems like it won’t be happening soon, so there’s plenty of time for Blizzard to change their mind.

Some of you may have heard about the new Blizzard card game “Hearthstone.” I kind of forgot about it until a few days ago when I ran into this video that shows some of the deck building and a few online games. It looks really great so far. I’m hoping I can get a beta key soon so I can start streaming it on twitch, but until then there’s videos like this and other streamers.

Here’s a great video overview of the game by TotalBiscuit.

Deck Contruction

WoW Insider has a page up on Hearthstone deck contruction:

Creating decks in Hearthstone is fairly straightforward. But you can’t just walk in and put any pile of cards together and expect it to be able to compete. First you select the class you want to play. You are then restricted to only use the cards that belong to that class along with cards available to all classes. Just about all of the cards in Hearthstone can be divided into three major categories: Removal, utility, or minions.

Most well rounded decks will feature elements of all three.

There’s lots more, read it there: http://wow.joystiq.com/2013/08/22/hearthstone-deck-construction-101/

Gotta Catch 'em All!In the new World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, not only will you be able to play as the awesome new fat bear race Pandaren, but you will also be able to catch and train your very own Pokemon vanity pets!

Mists of Pandaria Alpha version leaked screenshot
Mists of Pandaria Alpha version leaked screenshot

You will be able to train your pets by practicing with your friends and teaching them new unique abilities and attacks. From what I saw, it seems like you build your team of 3 pets and have battles against other trainers players. If your current roster of pets is lacking, then you can wander the world looking for some better pets. If you spot one you’d like to enslave catch all you have to do is beat it up with your current pet and capture it. These wild pets you catch will have somewhat random stats, but you will have a small chance to catch one with exceptional stats.

Lashtail Hatchling, I choose you!

There are special pet trainers you can go to, who will be able to teach your pets new tricks and abilities. However, the trainers will challenge you to a battle sometimes.

It does seem a lot like Pokemon, but Pokemon was and is still really popular with millions of people. I used to love Pokemon when I was a kid and I think this sounds like it could be fun if done right. So, I’m really looking forward to this part of Mists of Pandaria (MoP.) The Kung-fu Pandas… well, not so much.
